What do you do when you don't have all of your ingredients?
Like the other day, I really wanted to bake (this is a strange occurrence). I wanted to make some sort of cookie, but I didn't have eggs. Well, I went on AllRecipes and clicked on their Ingredient Search button. You can type in the ingredients that you do have and the ones you don't. So I typed in milk, peanut butter, sugar, flour and then I typed in eggs in the other column. You wouldn't beleive how many cookies there were to choose from!
This is a great tool for when you don't want to run to the store!
Go to Rocks in My Dryer for more tips.
PS: I ended up making this recipe. It was okay, but definitely not as good as the real thing with all the ingredients!
Great idea! Sometimes it's fun to improvise.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! I'm notorious for being out of something! Thanks for a great tip. Blessings, Whitney
ReplyDeleteThat is a nifty idea!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep that in mind, as there are many times I find myself wanting to ask my hubby to swing by the store on his way home. However, that doesn't make for a happy man when he gets home.
Thank you for the great tip. I've heard of them before, but didn't know where to find one.
Finally! An idea I can really use. This happens to me all the time and I get so frustrated. I've heard of allrecipes but never checked it out. Can't wait to now!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya' girl! I love this idea and will definately use it! : )
ReplyDeleteI love allrecipes.com. Many a meal has been created by using that ingredient search function. :)
